Advertise & partner
People come here with one urgent question: is the power out, and when will it be back? If your product genuinely helps them — backup power, home resilience, preparedness — we'd like to hear from you.
What's available
- Display ads (Google AdSense, once our account is approved) on the homepage and on utility, US state, county and city pages, always below the outage answer (policy-bound — see below).
- Affiliate placements inside our evergreen preparedness guides (generators, battery backup, food/water safety), always disclosed.
- Guide sponsorships — underwrite a sourced safety guide, clearly labeled.
The placement policy
Ads never render inside the live outage result, the alerts/notification UI, or emergency and rolling-blackout callouts. They go only in fixed spaces below the answer (on wide screens, also in side columns that start below it). Our automated checks reject a build that moves the ad space up on the homepage or on a state, county or city page, and on the homepage the ad code itself refuses to fill a space inside those areas. We don't use Google's automatic ad placement, which could put ads elsewhere on the page. A person finding out whether their power is back sees the answer first.
Why this audience
- High intent: the site answers one urgent question — whether the power is out and when it will be back — alongside preparedness guides.
- National coverage: a free page for every US county, with the federal county-by-county outage tally (not every utility reports into it), plus live detail straight from hundreds of utilities' own outage maps across the US and Canada.
- Trust posture: our county-wide estimates are graded publicly; the site holds itself to labeled sources and says plainly when data is missing or delayed ("missing data is not the same as zero outages"). We don't inflate numbers — traffic and audience metrics are shared on request.
